Graduate Award
Selection Criteria:
Recipients of the award will be well rounded students, who most closely mirror the achievement and citizenship values inspired by France-Anne Sweeny. They will also demonstrate balance in the following areas:
making positive differences to the lives of others
empathy, compassion and respect towards the needs and feelings of others
openness to the perspectives, values and traditions of others
commitment to service
commitment to learning
Eligibility
Applicants must be in their graduating year and have been a recipient of the France-Anne Sweeny “Making a Difference” Grade 11 Award.

Candidate Statement:
List three(3) tasks you have completed during your high school years that help to tell us who you are and how you have “Made a Difference”. (Use between 90 and 130 words per task).Where do you see yourself in 10 years and how will that be affected by your desire to make the world a better place? (Use between 100 and 150 words).
A current secondary school transcript or Credit Counseling Summary of your marks.

Decisions
Award applications will be reviewed and winners will be chosen by the selection committee.
Disbursement of Funds and Acknowledgment
Graduate Award recipients will receive a letter from the France-Anne Sweeny Making a Difference Awards acknowledging their scholarship.
The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation will send France-Anne Sweeny “Making A Difference” Awards directly to the post-secondary school of each winner.
