Sarah, a grade 11 student, continuously demonstrates initiative, a high intellectual capacity, excellent leadership capabilities, teamwork and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. She accomplishes great things through her involvements with K-W Spelling Bee of Canada, Neighbourhood Watch, Belgage Medical Centre, Waterloo Regional Health Department, Waterloo-Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival, Freeport Health Centre and the Kitchener-Waterloo Multiple Sclerosis Society which is Sarah’s favourite charity. It was during her early work with the K-W MS Society that Sarah learned of the ongoing suffering of those living with MS and how the MS Society was constantly striving to improve their lives. Sarah continues to educate herself in the hopes that it will advance her progress as a volunteer dedicated to making a difference and understanding the needs of MS patients. Her hope is that she and the countless other passionate volunteers will succeed in helping to bring a smile to the faces of those struggling with Multiple Sclerosis in our community.
