Sam is a mature, focused young man who conducts all of his interactions with the highest levels of integrity. He is a tremendous student with a strong work ethic and a love of learning. He is also a gifted dancer and as well as performing in a variety of school productions, he has also taken a leadership role on his school’s Dance Team. He has also served on his School Council Executive as the Equity and Inclusion Coordinator. In the community, Sam has been very involved with Free the Children, which is his charity of choice. Through his involvement with Free the Children, Sam was fortunate to be selected to travel to Kenya and Ecuador where he saw firsthand the incredible work that is being done. Although this work is amazing, Sam is even more amazed at what they have done to impact youth here in Canada. They have created opportunities for youth to be part of a community movement. He believes that being a part of something like this is far more than fundraising. It’s about feeling a connection to something special. He is amazed at what youth are able to accomplish. Young people are really making a difference in other people’s lives locally and globally and he is so glad to be a part of it.
