Madison Campbell

Maddie is a truly exceptional young lady who demonstrates an incredible level of caring and leadership, both at school and in the greater K-W community. She is very involved in school activities and she is also a passionate athlete who sets an outstanding example for her teammates. Her other school passion is DECA and it was through her efforts at DECA internationals this past spring that Maddie brought awareness to the dangers of head injuries in sport and put people’s focus on Head Strong, her charity of choice. Maddie is an ardent fan of the Kitchener Rangers and most especially their star player Ben Fanelli who created the charity Head Strong after suffering a brain injury that kept him from playing hockey for two seasons. The charity raises money to support the Brain Injury Association of Canada and also raises awareness about these injuries. As Maddie states “Whether it’s raising money at local events or sporting my grey Head Strong bracelet every day, I want to be a part of the difference Ben is making. It is a constant reminder to cherish life and to be a difference maker myself.”
