Emily, a grade 11 student, has been described as “ a well rounded student who embodies the achievement and citizenship values inspired by France Anne”. As an IB student she has experienced the rigors of a highly academic program but has also made time for extra- curricular activities including her school’s musical production as well as the WAYVE team. Emily was introduced to her favourite charity, The Trillium Childhood Cancer Support Centre, at 8 months of age shortly after her sister was diagnosed with Leukemia. She has been involved with Camp Trillium ever since and credits this experience with helping her to develop an open mind and learning to accept those children suffering from illness as “regular kids”. Emily understands well that this has been a challenging year for the Camp financially and hopes this award will help.
