Caity Irwin

Caity, a grade 11 student, understands the importance of many charities in our community but her favourite charity is The Food Bank of Waterloo Region because it is local and helps people that we often don’t see or think about. It reaches out to many different people who need food for their families and is also responsible for providing food to other organizations within the community. Caity herself works to help struggling people through her work in her youth group at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church. She has travelled to Massillon, Ohio, to work with the non-profit group Hammer and Nails to help improve homes in needy neighbourhoods. According to her Youth Director, “her leadership, enthusiasm, willing spirit and hard work shone through. She was a young person, making a huge difference in the lives of the people of Massillon, Ohio”.
